MAKE UP -Girls Travel Season 2023/24
NATIONAL & REGIONAL TRAVEL
July 25th 6:30-9:00pm
Ages 14-17
*PLAYERS AGE is based off of their age on July 1st 2024
DOORS OPEN 1 HOUR BEFORE TRYOUT TIME TO CHECK IN
Cost is $25 if you pre-register online by July 24th or $30 day of or at the door.
*Must register online prior to tryouts. You will be instructed at the door to register before you are allowed to check-in.
What to expect at tryouts…
Upon arrival you will be assigned a tryout number and have your picture taken. We will then measure height, reach, and vertical measurements. Then each athlete will complete a 5-10-5 shuttle.
Athletes will then be run through multiple drills to be evaluated on passing, serving, hitting, blocking skills.
Lastly, athletes will be evaluated during game play. Athletes may be asked to try different positions and/or move to other courts as we assess all aspects of skill and athleticism.
Team assignment and tryout results will be sent via the email address you used to register for tryouts. (Resubscribe Tutorial)
Athletes accept their spot by signing a player contract and paying a deposit by the deadline explained in your offer email. Failure to register and pay your deposit will result in offering your placement to another athlete.
2023/2024 National Travel Team Girls Volleyball Club Season Details
Season will end in June. If a team qualifies for AAU Nationals, additional fees will apply to extend the season and participate in Nationals.
Season cost $3,900 per athlete
7 Local Tournaments
2 Travel Tournaments (Includes hotel) *Airfare at an additional cost if necessary
Two to three: 2.5 hrs practices per week
Game stats evaluations package (ie: Hudl, BALLTIME, or equivalent)

Fundraising Opportunities to go towards dues
Payment plans are available
Team trainer during off court conditioning
Option to travel to Hawaii to play in the TransPacific Championships *This is a tournament the teams fundraise for in order to attend.

FUNDRAISERS
We conduct 2 fundraisers per season to assist in dues and/or to help cover tournaments above and beyond what is scheduled.
Serve-A-Thon: by collecting pledges from neighbors and family/friends of any amount per serve your athlete can collect quite a chunk of change! Ex: Will asks a neighbor to pledge .10 and another neighbor pledges .25 per serve she can serve over the net and in, out of 100. On the day of the Serve-A-Thon he serves over 80 out of 100. His one neighbor would then give him $8 and the other would do $20. Some of our girl athletes have been able to make upwards of $800 in the past! *details to come!
Sponsorship: Each athlete is welcome to find a sponsor. Sponsorships are any amount and all $ goes directly toward the athletes dues. The company sponsoring will get their logo listed on our website as a sponsor. https://vortexvolleyballutah.leagueapps.com/store
